support,whether through philanthropic giving
through the Dean, Dorton & Ford Foundation, charitable
contributions, or employees volunteering their time.

Community Service
Contributing to the local community is an essential
part of life at Dean, Dorton & Ford. In fact, community
involvement is one of our core values. As such, the
firm encourages its accountants, consultants, and staff
to volunteer in the community and to involve themselves in civic activities about which they are most passionate.
The firm promotes employee involvement by offering
paid time off for volunteer time for all of our staff.
During 2006, Dean, Dorton & Ford invested over 2,500
hours in service to community organizations.

Dean, Dorton and Ford serves on the boards of and has leadership
roles in nonprofit and civic organizations such as Amyotrophic
Lateral Sclerosis Association (ALS), Bluegrass Conservancy,
Carnegie Center for Literacy & Learning, Commerce Lexington,
Girl Scouts, Governors Scholars Program, International
Book Project, Junior Achievement, LexArts, Opera House Fund,
and Women Leading Kentucky.
DDF Foundation
Dean, Dorton & Fords charitable foundation supports
nonprofit organizations throughout Kentucky. Each year, the
firm contributes a percentage of its net profits to organizations
that help the community through social service, cultural,
environmental, or educational activities. Among the organizations
the firm has supported are: American Red Cross, Lexington
Childrens Theatre, Lexington History Museum, Prichard
Committee for Excellence, Salvation Army, Susan G. Komen Race
For The Cure, and The United Way.
